As we’re halfway through 2024, it’s time to take a look back at some of the design trends mentioned in our 2023/24 Trend Report and see how they have evolved and developed over the past few months.
Sometimes, the design that really impresses people is not the bold visual effects, but the cleverness hidden in the details. This trend has continued to ferment in the past six months, not only in beverage packaging, we see brands telling product stories through detailed designs, giving products and brands more depth and personality, rather than just being superficial.
The Long Dog Co. is a great example. Studio Unbound’s design imbues the brand with a warm, crafty vibe that perfectly captures the brand’s sense of humor and love of dachshunds. When the bottles are lined up together, you get a complete illustration of a long dog that’s fun and creative.
The design of THE CUP vs LIFE is philosophical. Through this limited edition bottle, Marco Arroyo-Vázquez guides us to think about the values and priorities in life. Two different graphic designs allow us to look at the important but often overlooked details in life, such as friendship, family and love, from a new perspective.
The application of numbers in packaging design is no longer just a functional logo, but has become a design language that conveys the personality and story of the brand. This trend continues in 2024.
15:45 Tea’s packaging design puts numbers in the spotlight. CB Design cleverly incorporated the brand name into the design, paired with earth tones, making the entire packaging both simple and textured.
